Sec. 147.23 - Instructor requirements.
An applicant for an aviation maintenance
technician school certificate and rating, or for an additional rating,
must provide the number of instructors holding appropriate mechanic
certificates and ratings that the Administrator determines necessary to
provide adequate instruction and supervision of the students, including at
least one such instructor for each 25 students in each shop class.
However, the applicant may provide specialized instructors, who are not

basic hydraulics, drawing, and similar subjects. The applicant is required
to maintain a list of the names and qualifications of specialized
