14. How do I get to Kemble?

Kemble airfield (www.kemble.com) is approx 70 miles west of London, about 15 miles north-west of Swindon,  just to the south-west of Cirencester (Glos), and is right on the edge of the famous Cotswolds.

Kemble is the former home of the Red Arrows and is a typically impressive former military airfield.  Hunters, Gnats and Jet Provost fast jets still fly regularly from Kemble.

Directions:

Detailed maps are provided at the time of booking, as required.

Take the M4 and exit at junction 17.  Follow the A429 north through Malmesbury.

The airfield is to the south of Kemble village on the west side of the road.

There are excellent fast train links (approx 1¼ hours) from Paddington direct to Kemble, and we are happy to collect guests from Kemble Station, if required.

For accommodation, we recommend West Crudwell Farm, Crudwell which is 5 minutes from the airfield, has a beautiful setting and is very comfortable and reasonably priced.
