Pod is Chief Test Pilot and Head of Flying at Rolls Royce PLC (Aero Engines), and also displays the Rolls Royce MkXIX Spitfire.

He flew Buccaneers and instructed on Hawks before moving to the Jaguar, in which he flew operationally over Bosnia and Iraq. He attended the French Test Pilot School at Istres in Provence and was Officer Commanding the R&D Flight of the Fast Jet Test Squadron at DERA Boscombe Down.
