BushCub
SP and XP
BushCub
SP's are offered in completely-built, ready to fly Certified Special
Light Sport Aircraft, partially built Experimental LSA kits and
Experimental kit form.
The
fuselage is a little wider than the original Cub which allows an
increase in the gross weights for the BushCub SP model to 1320 lbs.,
the Light Sport Aircraft/Sport Pilot maximum without floats. All
Chromemoly parts are powder coated for maximum protection from
corrosion. Longerons are oiled and sealed to resist corrosion.
Extensive use of composites in some non-structural areas keeps
weight down.
The
BushCub SP is powered by the 100 h.p. Mattituk TMX-O200, a
completely new engine built with all Teledyne Continental genuine
parts. Electric start, carburettor, light-weight alternator and
Slick mags are standard. A 12 volt sealed battery comes standard.
The BushCub XP can handle engines of 180 hp+ for increased
performance.
The
wings are all-aluminium structure with Superflite covering. The
NACA 23012 airfoil is the same that the venerable Taylorcraft uses,
and allows for higher speeds and increased performance. All control
cable are routed inside the structure for a cleaner, neater
installation. Flaps and wing tanks can be added as options.
Tail
feather are balanced PA-18 style for lighter control input forces.
Solo
flight is accomplished from the front seat, where visibility is
better.
Hydraulic brakes, front and rear seats, are standard.
Covering is done in the Superflite process, applied per FAR
specifications. The aircraft is painted with the Superflite
polyurethane system.
