multi-engine class rating
Skill:
In order to obtain a multi-engine class rating, you are required to complete a
multi-engine flight test based on the Flight Test Standard Multi Engine
Class Rating (T). This includes center-line thrust aircraft.
Credits for DND applicants:
If you are an active or retired member of the
Canadian Forces and are qualified to Pilot Airplane Wings: Standard, you are
considered to have met the necessary skill requirements provided you have
achieved a minimum of 50 hours PIC flight time in multi-engine airplanes during
the 24 months preceding the date of application of rating and have met the
requisite standards of the Canadian Forces to act as PIC of multi-engine
airplanes in the 24 months preceding the date of application for rating.
Foreign Applicants:
Those with a Pilot License - Aeroplane
category from another country have met the prerequisite skill requirements if
they have a minimum of 50 hours PIC flight time in multi-engine airplanes or
have met the standards of that country in obtaining this rating during the 12
months preceding the date of their application.
